Implementation of Online Learning During Pandemic in Science Subjects at SMPN 6 Padang Panjang

Abstract

This research is motivated by the change from offline learning to online. This is due to the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in early 2020. The condition resulted in the author wanting to measure the implementation of online learning at SMPN 6 Padang. This study aims to describe the implementation of online learning seen from the understanding of student materials, accuracy of task collection, learning outcomes of learners, and activeness of learners in online learning. This research uses a descriptive approach with quantitative methods. The population in this study was students of SMPN 6 Padang Panjang School Year 2020/2021 grade VIII which amounted to 134 students and sample of 27 students. Sample selection using Proportionate Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires with Likert scale model. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis with the help of SPSS Version 20. The results showed that the implementation of online learning at SMPN 6 Padang Panjang was as much as 8% of reponden said it was very carried out, 81% of respondents said it was carried out, 11% of respondents said it was not done and 0% of respondents said it was not done. It can be concluded that online learning at SMPNegeri 6 Padang Panjang has been carried out.
