The Analisis Kebutuhan Pengembangan Instrumen Penilaian Kemampuan Argumentasi Ilmiah Peserta Didik Terintegrasi Isu Sosio-Saintifik dalam Pembelajaran Biologi

Abstract
Biology learning outcomes instruments are rarely oriented to scientific arguments. This study aims to identify and map the conditions in the field that reflect the need for developing an assessment of students' scientific argumentation skills integrated socio-scientific issues. The analysis consists of the objectives of learning biology, biology learning materials, and the availability of the assessment instruments of biology learning. The type of research used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and interviews at SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman with data collection tools of interview sheets and observation sheets of learning activities in class. The results of the study obtained the following problems. first, the lack of student participation in communicating biology learning materials in the classroom; second, students' scientific argumentation skills are limited because biology learning has not optimally led to the development of students' scientific arguments; fourth, the teacher does not know the assessment of students' scientific argumentation skills integrated socio-scientific issues.
